Well, I don't really "hate" any band, in the end. I just accept that people have different musical tastes and listen to what I like - and I try not to complain too much.
There are a lot of bands I just don't get, though, and Slipknot is one of them. I don't get the masks for one thing, and I don't get the costumes. I don't get their image. I don't like the vocal style of what's-his-name. I don't like their creepy videos. I don't like their sound. I just...don't see the draw with these guys at all.
But if you do, that's fine. Like I said, it's just a different musical taste, that's all.
Anyway, here is a song from Slipknot to fulfill the requirements of today's installment of the 30 Day Music Challenge!

Oh this is the band that I love to hate/hate to love beside Avenged Faggotfold lol. And the fact that Jim Root is dating with Christina Scabbia from Lacuna Coil, make it both bands a bash fest of boredom.
Avenged Faggotfold lolled me.
I've disliked them for a long time to. But their latest album isn't that bad in my opinion.
"Avenged Faggotfold" - LMAO!!!!! That's great!
Might it be that nu metal bands in time a) get bored of the style (which, after all, after appearing in the mid-nineties, was at its height of popularity from 1998 to 2002 and then took a nosedive) and b) learn to play their instruments? Apparently Disturbed have gravitated towards hard rock or even metal as well, and they've covered Genesis.
@ Winterstorm: Great comment! I don't like Nu Metal at all - with the exception of Linkin Park, whom I do love. But even they had a drastic change in style with their "Minutes to Midnight" album, which was panned by their fans, but which I actually really enjoyed. I wonder what future releases hold for them?
Canuckfan, If you love Linkin Park, well I can recommend Arkaea feat Christian Olde Wolbers and Raymond Herrera or Soilwork from Gothenburg.
